The ASKANIA TEGEL TEG-9803 is a dedication to the Berlin Tegel capital city airport. The Tegel airport belongs to the capital since the 60s and impresses with its functional, modern and timeless Hexagon design. The TEGEL combines the elegant, comfortable and functional design of the Bauhaus style with a classic automatic movement.
The ASKANIA dial of the TEGEL is inspired by the Bauhaus style and designed in classic black, on which the white, delicate Arabic minute and hour numerals stand out creating a beautiful contrast. The seconds are perfectly legible thanks to the small central hand in red. The fine baton hands round off the elegant look.
Versions of the Tegel
The case of the Tegel is made exclusively of stainless steel 316L. The steel, which is also used in aviation and surgery, is distinguished by corrosion-resistance, resilience and extreme hardness. This guarantees lifetime durability. An extra hard and scratch-resistant sapphire glass is used to protect the dial.
Stainless steel and leather – durable and solid. The breathable leather strap excels with its high-quality design, impressive workmanship and unparalleled comfort. The strap uses the classic pin buckle made of high-strength stainless steel.
The ASKANIA caliber is based on a completely revised Miyota 8215 movement, which rests on 21 rubies. This caliber is a mechanical self-winding movement. The ASKANIA movement 2062 works robustly and long-lasting in a balance of 3.0 Hz (21,600 A/h).
