Depending on the Askania model, there are several sizes of waterproofness. The information relates on the theoretical water pressure according to the water depth. 1 bar is equal to 10 meters.
Our guidance:
3 Bar: Watches are splashproof.
5 Bar: shwoering, taking a bath or washing your hands is no problem.
10 Bar: Watch can be used for swimming and snorkeling.
20 Bar: Watch is ready for scuva diving.
30–50 Bar: The watch can dive deeper as you will ever be able to 😉

Do not use aggressive substances when cleaning your ASKANIA watch. These can attack the case and gaskets and cause the watch to leak.

Bumps
ASKANIA movements are well made and shock resistant. However you should avoid heavy bumps as they could affect the accuracy of the movement.
Possibly serious damages of the balance wheel and a displacement of the jewels are happening when heavy bumped.

In order to maintain the lifespan of your ASKANIA watch, rinse your ASKANIA watch after swimming in salt water. Salt water is very aggressive and can harm the case, the crystal and the gaskets of your Askania watch.

ASKANIA leather straps are perfectly processed and offer great wearing comfort. As leather is an organic material, humidity, chemicals, sopas and salt water are harming the leather. . Because of that you should avoid contact with such substances.
